Royalty must always act proper and remained poised no matter the circumstances. That is if you are an older member of the royal family.

Fortunately, the younger members of the House of Windsor are not so stodgy as demonstrated by Prince William's performance at the 2017 Royal Variety performance.

William's wife Catherine had the perfect reaction, encouraging other people to laugh at her husband's antics. Though, no one knew William was going to be so funny!!

In the midst of the talent show, a little girl paused to request the prince. He and Kate were seated in a balcony overlooking the stage, both formally dressed for this gala event. They were looking quite royal.

What was the request of this little girl?

She asked the Prince to gallop like a horse. Both William and Kate laughed at the delightful request. However, Prince William was not done yet. His actions left Kate laughing uncontrollably.

Prince William could not deny the request of such a cute maiden, even if he is the second in line to the throne of England. The Prince offered her a resounding galloping move, which signaled the girl as well as her stage companions to gallop off-stage.

The audience loved his chivalrous gesture, and they laughed along with the Duchess of Cambridge.

Earlier in the show, the host, Miranda Hart, had made a reference to galloping like a horse. The little girl loved the idea and appealed to the Prince for assistance. When the Prince obliged this young maiden, the other kids joined their friend in galloping off-stage! The entire event is just completely adorable!

It's a memory the kids and audience will always treasure. Watch Prince William's great moves and his wife's genuine delight to his impressive gallop. You won't believe just how funny the Prince is!!
