When you choose to leave someone's life and close the door behind you, be careful of the words you choose during your final goodbye. You should carefully consider these words as you walk out of the life of someone you cared about.

Once words are spoken aloud, there is no way to take them back. There are no do-overs and the feelings of the other person will not be spared simply because what you were trying to say came out wrong.

There will always be emotional damage when a final goodbye is spoken. But the way you choose to say goodbye will determine both the type as well as the amount of damage that is done.

There's a girl who seems a lot like other girls. In the eyes of some people, she is a pretty girl. Others view her looks as quite average. She is quick witted and intelligent in the opinion of some people that know her. Others are not that impressed. She is loved by many but there are still those who do not care much for her.

That girl is good enough in the eyes of some but not to the liking of others. The thing is, none of this would be of importance if she was good enough for herself. There was a time when she didn't feel like she was enough. But she does not feel this way about herself anymore.

It can be extremely disheartening for someone you know and love to show you each day of your life they feel you are unworthy. It is painful to know the person you choose does not choose you in return. It is discouraging to know that someone you place as a high priority does not include you on their to-do list.

It does not matter how strong you tell yourself you are. When these things happen to you, the whispers of doubt in your mind will be loud and clear. The whispers will find creative ways to say you are not good enough.

If you are unable to quiet these whispers and another person fails to show up to dispel them, you might soon begin to believe their validity. This is exactly what happened to that girl.

Failure and heartbreak are inevitable for you anytime you place someone as a priority in your life who does not mean you well. You will be broken by the people who do not know how to respond to your kindness after welcoming them in with open arms. And this is how things went downhill so fast for that girl.

That girl has lost control of her life. It is a chore each day to wake up only to take another beating from her own thoughts. She hates the demons that plague her but is clueless of ways to free herself from their clutch. She longs to feel normal again but does not know how this is possible when all her actions are simply not good enough.

She no longer possesses the fight to clear the obstacles from her path. All that she does is wrong or does not measure up to the standards of others. She does not remember a time when situations favored her and all things that can go wrong in her life tend to do so.

When life constantly pummels a person it can be difficult to summon the strength to continue fighting. The girl made a conscious decision at some point to stop fighting and let it all go to hell. She had figured long ago that is where things will go anyway.

That girl blames herself each time someone walks away from her life. She constantly wonders what she could have done to make them stay. She asks herself again and again about the thing she did to make them leave even though she has no idea what that thing is.

She asks herself if she should have laughed more. She questions whether she did all she could do in the matter.

She struggles to remember a time someone viewed her as a priority but she can only remember the many times she placed the wants and needs of others before her own. She gave all she had, including the best of herself, but only she seemed to notice.

The people who have benefitted the most from her sacrifices and efforts are the people that notice and appreciate her efforts the least. They could care less that she is the one deserving of it all but receives nothing.

That girl, like all of us, could use a friendly reminder that she is good enough. She should know the wrong people will never think she is good enough. She should also know it is foolish to try to hold on to these people.

That girl needs a reminder that though dark days seem long, there is always light at the tunnel's end. She should know the struggles of today are the distant memories of tomorrow.

That girl needs to remember that her liking a person does not prove the goodness in that person. There was a time she believed that a person she liked must be a good person since she was a good person. In fact, the opposite is often true. Good people draw bad people to themselves all the time. That girl will recover one day. And the world will see how amazing she truly is.
