First meeting over 30 years ago, Beth and Duane Chapman’s love story has seen its ups and downs. With Beth’s passing on Wednesday after battling cancer for the last two years, fans can see how much Duane loved and adored Beth. But their relationship wasn’t always easy, for starters, Beth was the other woman through a lot of Duane’s relationships.

Speaking on The Rosie Show in 2011, Beth and Duane spoke about how they met for the first time. Beth had been arrested for allegedly shoplifting as well as having an unregistered, unlicensed gun in her pocket, she was taken to jail where she ended up calling Duane as he was working as a bail bondsman. She ended up having to go to Duane’s office to fill out paperwork.

"When I did come and see him, he came walking out there and I said, 'Oh yes, he will be mine,'" Beth said of the first time she saw Duane. "'Let the stalking begin.'"

However, Duane and Beth didn’t get married until 15 years later, during that time they went on to marry other people and have children although they still remained in contact.

“I was the other woman through 2 wives and one really good girlfriend,” Beth said. Beth had also married Duane’s best friend, Keith Barmore, as Duane wrote in his memoir, “You Can Run but You Can't Hide.”

"When I heard they got married, I got physically sick," he said, "Friends told me he was abusing her something awful." But the pair finally decided to have a go at it after they had divorced their current partners and married in 2006, they went on to have two children.

Duane and Beth’s lasting relationship was captured on camera on the TV show “Dog The Bounty Hunter.”

“The best part of my job is having her by my side on every journey," Duane said in an interview with the Daily Mail earlier this year. "I can't imagine a day without her and think deep down inside she is always concerned for my safety because she wants the security of knowing I come home to her every night.”

Duane announced there will be a tribute on the A&E network following a marathon of “Dog The Bounty Hunter.”
