A dog is a man's best friend. Through thick and thin, you can count on your canine friend to be right by your side. One man and his dog — namely, Danny Deraney and his pug — took this to the extreme as they have a delicious lunch together. Seated in the recliner in the living room of their home, this video shows a man and his dog indulging in a burrito. While we might agree that this takes "a man's best friend" to a new extreme, it sure is entertaining to watch.

Mimicking is a Form of Flattery

Oftentimes, we spend so much time around our pets that they begin to take on our mannerisms. While they can't communicate with us as other humans would, they definitely have a way of understanding our language and responding in their own unique way. In this instance, Danny Deraney seems to have found that his dog had been watching the way in which humans eat.

A Shared Lunch

Seated on his owner's lap, similar to the way that a child would, Deraney's dog is captured holding a burrito in both hands and eating it the same way humans do. With great control and manners, the dog enjoys his burrito lunch on his owner's lap. Yet, there is a fun, unique twist to this story. The owner is also eating a burrito at the same time. Retweeted over 63,000 times, this video has gone viral, due to the hilariousness of a dog and his owner eating a burrito together while kicking back on a recliner.

Some Criticism, But Overall Amusement

Of course, this video drew some criticism about Danny Deraney's choice of diet for his dog. While some viewers found it shocking that this owner would allow his dog to eat a burrito, others found it just fine as an occasional treat. Providing more entertainment than received criticism, most viewers found this video to be a cute way to share a meal with a good pooch.
