Meghan Markle, born Rachel Meghan Markle, is an American member of the British royal family. The former Duchess of Sussex rose to fame when she starred as Rachel Zane in the American television legal drama series "Suits."

But the actress's relationship with Prince Harry is what launched her into international fame. According to Insider, the couple began dating in 2016, when they were set up on a blind date and they hit things off right away. After a blissful two years of dating, the couple wed in May 2018 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. According to Hello Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding has become the most-watched royal wedding in history. Although Princess Diana's wedding to Prince Charles still holds the title of garnering the largest UK television audience for a royal wedding. But since Harry and Meghan's wedding was uploaded to the royal family's youtube channel, it has accumulated over 35 million views. The newlywed royals welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, a year later.

Although Harry and Meghan denounced their royal titles in January 2020, many still regard the former actress as British royalty. In an interview with Express UK, lawyer and activist Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu dubbed Meghan the most inspirational member of the royal family. Dr. Shola compared Meghan's global popularity to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Although Meghan was never able to meet her husband's mother, she named their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, in honor of Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and Harry's mother, Princess Diana.

However, since then Meghan has been very private about her personal life. But in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the children's book author opened up about motherhood, Harry and the special bond her two children, Archie and Lilibet, share.

During Meghan's rare appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," the activist disclosed details of her courtship with Prince Harry. Although the couple kept their relationship a secret while dating, she shared a memorable double date they had with Princess Eugenie and her now-husband James Brooksbank.

"We did (go to a Halloween party together)," Meghan told the talk show host. "He came to see me in Toronto, and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband, Jack, they came as well, and the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple."

"No, (the people at the party didn't know it was us)," she disclosed. "It was a post-apocalyptic theme, so we had all of this very bizarre costuming on, and we were able to just sort of have one final fun night out."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex denounced their titles in January 2020 and relocated to California. Despite their sudden move taking place during the rise of the global coronavirus pandemic, Meghan said lockdown allowed them to create a happy home life in California.

"We moved here during lockdown, exactly when things shut down, so we've just been able to spend a lot of time at home and creating our home," the actress explained. "But I think it's just the lifestyle, and the weather is pretty great. But we're just happy."

After moving to the States, the couple welcomed their second child, Lilibet, on June 4, 2021.

Welcoming a new baby can be a hard adjustment for any family, but Meghan is adamant that her 3-year-old son Archie is enjoying his role as an older brother. "He loves being a big brother!" The mother of two told the daytime Emmy-winning talk show host, Degeneres.

"Someone told H (Harry) and I that when you have one kid, it's a hobby, and two children is parenting," she continued. "Suddenly we realized, oh right, everyone talks about what it's like for the second child, but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along. So I think they have that moment of, 'Oh, this is fun ... oh, this is how it is now.'"

During the show, Meghan shared how her and Harry's plans to dress up their adorable children for Halloween went slightly awry.

"We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were not into it at all," Meghan shared. "Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes. Still not even five minutes, Harry talked him into putting the head on. But Lilibet was a skunk, and it was so cute. She was the flower from 'Bambi.'"

Becoming a mother was one of Meghan's biggest dreams come true. She keeps her children close to her heart, even when they are outside of her reach. According to Entertainment Tonight, Meghan, who often uses jewelry as a statement piece, wore two constellation necklaces in honor of her children's zodiac signs while announcing her 40 x 40 initiative for her 40th milestone birthday. The mother of two layered a Taurus constellation necklace, which represents her son's birth in May, with a Gemini constellation, for her daughter's birthday in June.
