Ice T's Daughter Chanel Is Dad's Spitting Image While Posing Adorably With Four Dogs In Snapshot

Ice T, the American rapper known for the 1990s hit “New Jack Hustler,” is back in the news again. But the well-known hip-hop artist doesn’t have a new album coming out. Instead, the 63-year-old rapper is making waves thanks to his social media presence, where he and his wife post photos of themselves and their daughter — a 5-year-old Ice T look-alike by the name of Chanel.

Ice T and his wife, swimsuit model Nicole "Coco" Austin, had their first child together, Chanel, in 2015, 13 years after the couple got married. And for years, Chanel has had her own Instagram account, where the family posts photos of the young girl with her friends, family and parents.

Meanwhile, Austin keeps her more than 3 million followers on Instagram up-to-date by uploading snapshots of the family, too — and that’s not to mention Chanel’s active Twitter account.

In the month of July, multiple photos from these social media accounts have gone viral on account of how Chanel is the spitting image of her father. Notably, Chanel received more than 18,000 likes on a staged photo in which she poses along with four bulldogs, which she posted on July 25. Fans from across the globe were quick to make the comparison in the comments of that post, and in a recent interview with Us Weekly, Austin spoke to these viral posts and her husband and daughter’s striking similarities. 

This isn’t the first time that Ice T and his wife have been in the news with regards to Chanel. In the past, the couple came under fire after Austin revealed that she breastfed Chanel while she was nearly 5 years old back in 2020. 

Luckily, however, fans have been more positive in light of these more recent viral postings of Ice T and his look-alike child.

“Aren't we cute? Love all my doggies #icefamily,” Chanel wrote on her personal Instagram account alongside the staged photograph by artist Jose Guerra.

Some remarked that Chanel looked like her dad in the photo — and this isn’t an isolated phenomenon. In fact, multiple pictures of Chanel have gone viral due to how astoundingly similar she and her dad look.

In a July 27 exclusive for Us Weekly, Austin spoke to the magazine about her daughter and husband going viral.

“It was weird because I post so many pictures and that particular one kind of went viral,” Austin, 42, told Us Weekly. “That was strange to me. She’s looked like her daddy since day one. (She was) coming out of the womb looking like him. And now (people) are just noticing after five years? Like, that’s so weird to me.”

Replying to a popular Tweet from Chanel’s account, which included photos of Chanel and her mother at a Body Count concert, Bonnie Tipton Long wrote, “Who knew Ice-T would make such a cute little girl? Kind of makes you wonder what other actors' faces would look good on small children.”

“What a little doll she is. She's T's mini-me. Looks EXACTLY like her daddy,” Beverly Bonneau added.

With that said, Austin told Us Weekly that she’s had an influence on her daughter’s personality.

“She gets on the stage and she rocks on (like Ice-T), but then she, like, has a modeling side too,” Austin said.

“She has a lot of personality. She tries to act like me. I don’t allow her to do all the poses though … We like just the cutesy ones,” the mother explained.

Nicole Natalie Marrow, a 42-year-old actress better known as Coco Austin, has been married to American rapper Ice-T since the early 2000s. Fast forward more than a decade later to 2015, and the star couple had their first child together, Chanel, who will turn 6 at the end of November 2021. Although the family has received its fair share of good press as of late, Ice T and Austin have also come under fire for their parenting style. The scrutiny and criticism surrounding Chanel and her mother came about when back in September 2019, Austin posted a picture of her nursing her daughter, according to USA Today. At the time, Chanel was 3 years old. As part of the controversial Instagram post, Austin wrote: "A mothers calling.... I'm so blessed to have this unbelievable experience in this thing called Nursing," she captioned the series of photos.

"I had a hard time breastfeeding the 1st week of when Chanel was born, I almost gave up but my family told me to hang for another week. They told me I don't want to miss this special moment you have with your child," she continued in September 2019. Since then, Austin has come under fire again. In March of 2020, she posted another photo of herself breastfeeding Chanel, who was nearly 5 years old at the time.

But the month of July seems to have brought out the best in people, with fans enjoying the newest updates from Ice T and his mini me.
