“I Decided That It Needed Gwen On It”: Blake Shelton Says In Statement New Song With Gwen Stefani Is "Magic"

Opposites attract-couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are gearing up to release a new song on Blake's upcoming album. The country-singer announced the new track with Stefani will be "magic."

This isn't the first song the loved-up couple has made together. The duo has come together in the past to sing a Christmas song titled “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.” But it’s not what you’d expect!

Usually, Gwen is known for singing along to pop-punk songs and Blake is known for his classic country music. The song is something totally different for both artists, maybe setting precedent for their upcoming track.

Blake said in a release as per E! News that the new song would be titled "Nobody But You," and will be featured on his upcoming album "Fully Loaded: God's Country."

"This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it," Blake said. "I also realized how important it is for me and where I am in my life, and I think that's why [writer] Shane [McAnally] was trying to get it to me."

Blake recalls that he was going to only record it with his voice on it before having second thoughts. "It fits my story. I was about to go in and record when I decided that it needed Gwen on it—because it is our song. I think it's magic," the 43-year-old said. 

Blake and Gwen have also written another song together called "Go Ahead And Break My Heart." They performed the track on "The Voice" where blake said to the audience, "This is one of my favorite songs I've ever written or recorded."

Blake explained how the song came to life saying, "It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning our journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other."
