I Can't Get Over This Golden Retriever With His Stuffed Toy Mini-Me He Takes Everywhere

Animals do the goofiest things! We all know that they tend to have their favorite toy that they seem to favor. However, one golden retriever named Barley took his adoration for his favorite toy to a whole new level.

Barley is one-and-a-half years old and he lives in Amsterdam. His stuffed animal, Fluffy, is his trusted sidekick that he literally takes everywhere he goes.

Barley’s owners, Zita and Marc, consider it adorable that Barley has decided to team up with Fluffy for life. Fluffy is a tiny stuffed toy that Barley immediately took a liking to and, over time, began to take more and more places until the two literally became inseparable. On an average day, Barley and Fluffy take their daily naps together, take baths together and Fluffy even accompanies Barley when he goes outside to do his business.

Barley loves Fluffy so much that when his owners take him on a walk, he goes the entire walk with Fluffy securely in his mouth. Barley apparently wants Fluffy to enjoy the sights and smells of the world as much as he does.

Zita told Popsugar that when she or Marc return home from work, Barley will pick up Fluffy in his mouth and gently bring the stuffed toy over to his owner as a little token of his affection and a welcome home present. And when they run the vacuum or slam a door, Barley will run to pick up Fluffy in order to protect him from the scary noises.

Zita says that when they first got Barley they purchased Fluffy at Ikea as his very first toy. At the time, Fluffy was actually bigger than Barley was as a tiny puppy.

Now, Fluffy is Barley's best little friend. His owners say that Barley is like a child with his toy. They literally have to make sure they have Fluffy in the car whenever they go on a vacation or take Barley to visit a friend’s house with them.

Zita and Marc are set to be married this September and they chose their golden retriever to be the ring bearer, adorably walking down the aisle with the ring pinned to his collar – and, of course, Fluffy safely in tow in his mouth. The two think it’s so adorable that they don’t even mind that Barley will be bringing the stuffed animal as a “plus one” to their wedding.
