Husband Totally Astonished By Wife's Stunning Makeover

Christopher Hopkins AKA The Makeover Guy is known for helping women of a certain age feel like themselves again. For this makeover, he's helping Julie Martin, a 51-year-old from Duluth, Minnesota who's had the same hairstyle for a very long time. Unhappy with her curly, fuzzy hair, Julie is ready for a change and to feel better about herself.

Julie's husband got her the makeover as a Christmas gift and appears in the video, saying that Julie has been hard on herself as far as her looks and presentation go. He adds that she feels good when they go out someplace together, but for him, she's beautiful all the time. Beyond having the "same hairstyle forever" Julie adds that she has "always struggled with [her] hair type," which is curly and fuzzy. Additionally, she feels that working from home hasn't helped her motivation to change up her appearance. She explains:
"With working out of my house for so long, I haven't really cared as much about how I look. Like I'm kind of falling behind a bit, lost track of me. I need a jump start and I want to feel better about me at this age."

Well, who better to turn Julie's feelings about her appearance around than The Makeover Guy, with the help of Kayla Francis, who handled Julie's makeup and hair color. Julie's new look is light years different from how she arrived at Christopher's studio, as is her attitude! Her hair was lightened in color thanks to some well-placed highlights, while the length was cut shorter to emphasize the bounce and coil of her curls. She was even given a short curly fringe, which adds youthfulness to her appearance, while soft and pretty makeup emphasizes Julie's eyes.
The final result is nothing short of stunning, and it's clear from Julie's reaction that the makeover is internal as well as external. She says: "This is what I needed. This feels like me."
Her husband appears absolutely gobsmacked when he sees her, saying "You look amazing!" Christopher adds that Julie's husband was so supportive in the process and that's clear from how happy he is to see his wife overjoyed and feeling like the best version of herself.
He says that Julie was nervous coming into the makeover, and was looking for a change that would enable her to move from one phase of her life to another. After seeing the transformation and how it had such a positive impact on her, he says that's "all [he] wanted for her." Meanwhile, Julie ends the makeover video saying: "This is who I've been looking for."
