In today’s world of quick text messages and shooting emails, the importance of letters can quickly be brushed aside.

But, regardless of how far technology may take us, there is nothing like being able to hold a physical letter in one’s hand and read it over and over again.

Bill Bresnan is one man who hasn’t forgotten the importance of a written letter on a piece of paper. Unlike a lot of other men who leave the romantic actions to their girlfriends or wives, Tom knows that there is nothing like a love letter to warm a woman’s heart.

Tom has taken advantage of the chance to write love letters, going so far as to send his wife 10,000 letters – one for each day since they tied the knot!

At the start, the couple simply wrote short notes to each other on napkins, but it then developed into cards and postcards during their dating days. Eventually, they chose to start writing actual letters.

Bill signs each letter with the phrase, “I love you madly, my darling” and then puts the infinity sign to symbolize that their love will endure forever.

While many people let the romance die after a few months of marriage, it certainly hasn’t worked that way for this couple. It seems that the longer they are together, the more they fall in love with each other!

Bill and his wife spend every night eating dinner with candlelight and romantic music. The pair kisses each morning and each night and always follows it with an “I love you”.

The couple has now been married for 40 years and the love letters have to be stored in large cardboard boxes since they could easily take over the entire house!

Bill and his wife make it look so easy to have a breath-taking, romantic relationship! But we’re sure that they also have had to overcome obstacles at times and have worked hard to keep the spark alive. What could you do to make sure that your relationship stays strong and romantic? Let us hear your ideas in the comments!
