Husband Gives Wife Birthday Cake Shaped Like One Of Her Favorites: A Giant Package

Sweet Dreams Bakery in Dunn, North Carolina delivered (literally) the perfect Amazon package-styled cake for Emily McGuire, a self-proclaimed "proud Amazon shopper," as a surprise from her husband Waylon, aka Mac, for her birthday in 2019.

Emily McGuire and her husband, Waylon, have just that type of relationship. Emily has something of an Amazon addiction. According to CafeMom, the mother of three frequently orders items from the online retailer. This results in multiple Amazon boxes arriving for her each week.

The delivery of those familiar brown boxes makes her absurdly happy. Luckily, she has a husband who understands and even embraces this part of her personality. When it was time to get a cake for Emily's birthday, Waylon had an idea: he'd order a cake shaped like her beloved Amazon packages. The mother-of-three said:

"In that moment, I knew my husband 'gets' me,"

He contacted a bakery and arranged for them to create a birthday cake that was square and brown. To make it look even more authentic, it had Amazon Prime packaging "tape" on it along with an Amazon logo. It also had what looked like a realistic USPS Priority Mail label with Emily's name and a barcode on it. Tucked in the corner were the words "Happy Birthday!"

The talented bakers at Sweet Dreams Bakery really went above and beyond. The cake looked exactly like an Amazon box. Even better, according to Emily, it tasted delicious. She said that when she first saw the cake, she could only laugh. It made her extra happy because it was proof that her husband truly understands and "gets" her. He isn't the only one. Since Emily first shared pictures of her cake, it's taken the internet by storm. People on social media have expressed their love for the Amazon box cake — and admitted to their own Amazon addictions.
