Husband And Wife Divorced After Finding Out They Were Cheating With Each Other Using Fake Names Online

Cheating in relationships has been common for ages now, and it does happen almost everywhere. Many people claim they are in serious relationships, yet their actions do not relate to the suggested commitment in any way. Infidelity and cheating scenarios can crush the victim terribly. It is taking another individual for a fool and having their trust broken. 

Especially with the emergence of social media and online communications, everything has become virtual, and this has caused drastic changes in the world. A great deal of our lives now takes place online. For this reason, it can be easy to have an online affair when thinking it is only casual fun. Flirting online is no different than flirting in person, it has only moved to a new platform.

While it is true that cheating destroys marriages and partnerships, even the strongest ones, a weird encounter in 2007 left a couple stunned after they found out that the two of them were having their own respective affairs. 

According to News24, a young married couple from Zenica, Bosnia, sought a divorce back then after discovering something about their relationship.

27-year-old Sana and 32-year-old Adnan disguised themselves as other people in an internet chat room, using discreet nicknames like "Slatkica" and "Princ radosti," which translates to “Sweetie,” and “Prince of Joy,” respectively. 

At the time, both were confident that they wouldn’t be caught by their partners. They were affirmed that they were hidden behind their nicknames as posting photos online wasn't yet a huge thing back in 2007. 

However, after the two finally decided to meet face-to-face for the first time, they were shocked to learn who it was that they had been talking to in the chat room for months. Read on to learn more about how they met their online affairs. 

At the time each of them finally agreed to meet with their online affairs in person, they promised to carry a rose so that they would identify themselves easily. However, both of them were surprised when they saw each other at the meetup. Turns out, they were cheating with each other under the guise of nicknames. 

"I was suddenly in love again. It was beautiful, I thought I finally found someone who understands me, and who is in a similar situation — in a bad marriage, like I am," Sana told News 24. 

Sana even elaborated that she thought she had found the love of her life again. She also pointed out that the way “Prince of Joy” spoke to her, she felt the tenderness in every expression — a thing she claimed she never had in her marriage. 

Adnan, on the other hand, also recalled the love he felt while talking to his wife online. 

"To be honest, I still find it hard to believe that the person, Sweetie, who wrote such wonderful things to me on the internet, is actually the same woman I married and who has not said a nice word to me for years," he admitted. 

Sadly, after the shocking meetup, the two decided to finally seek a divorce, ending their years of marriage after they realized the impact of what they did to their relationship. 

This move by the couple to end their marriage reflects those in the United States. According to Relationships Advice, 31.4% of men and 28.7% of women who admitted infidelity divorced immediately, with 54.5% breaking up not long after the confession or upon finding out. 

Per News24, one commentator even suggested that they both should stay married as they “reaffirmed that they are meant for each other” despite what happened.
