Hungry Teen Accepts Stranger's Offer Of Ride Without Knowing He Would Change His Home Forever

For one 16-year-old teenager, Chauncy Black, his home was changed forever by a stranger's decision to help him. After going to the Kroger grocery store to try and earn something to eat by carrying strangers' groceries, Chauncy received a response from one stranger that changed his whole situation. This stranger ended up setting up a fundraiser for Chauncy after he realized that he was a hardworking student.

Although the 16-year-old had a place to live at his mother’s house, they were unable to afford food. So what was Chauncy to do? He found all of the spare change that he could and bought a bus ticket in order to get himself to a grocery store called Kroger. He decided that he was going to offer some work at the store in order to get some food. However, Chauncy could have never predicted the situation he was about to get himself into.

Once he made it to the store, Chauncy approached a stranger that would change his life. He decided to ask for an exchange. He offered to carry the man’s groceries to his car in order for a trade of some donuts to eat. The stranger’s name was Matt White, and he was touched by the request so he immediately said yes.

Once Matt learned a little bit more about Chauncy’s story and how he and his mother had been going hungry, he was moved. He decided to fill up a cart with groceries that Chauncy would be able to take home. After he purchased the groceries, he learned that Chauncy was an amazing student with big hopes and dreams. Instead of taking the bus home, Matt gave Chauncy a ride with the purchased groceries.

Once back at their home, he realized the situation was worse than he expected. It was clear that the boy’s mother was suffering from some health conditions, and the place they lived in was missing furniture.

The two unpacked the groceries together and Matt decided that he needed to make a difference. So what did he do? He set up a GoFundMe page where he could raise money for Chauncy and his mother. What ended up happening would change their lives forever.

This means that Chauncy would be able to buy new clothes, food, and furniture for their home while also pursuing his own dreams of having a career that would allow his family to flourish.

"A simple act of kindness, but it can ripple out and create an ocean of prosperity in the world", Matt wrote.
