Huge Snowman Gives Vandal A Taste Of His Own Medicine

The success of Disney’s feature Frozen has made building a snowman more popular than ever. More recently some folks in Kentucky discovered that Frosty the Snowman can also be a hyperborean harbinger of retribution.

The Petersburg residents and their snowman recently froze a vindictive vandal dead in his tracks. After an unusually heavy snowfall, Cody Lutz, Lucy, his fiancé, and sister-in-law-to-be decided to have a bit of fun. Lutz told Fox News that they went outside to play “in the snow,” because his fiancé is “from Mississippi” and that was “the most snow [she’d] ever seen in her entire life.”

Experienced readers know how to build snowmen. First, you take a hand-sized snowball and you roll it across your yard until you have a large round snowball. Repeat this process twice more stopping when the snowballs are slightly smaller than the previous one. Stack them from largest to smallest and you’ve built a snowman.

Petersburg had nearly six inches of snow so Lutz wanted to build a monumental snowman. Instead of the usual large snowball, Lutz and company used a large tree stump in the front yard for Frosty’s base. They were able to build a giant snowman that was nine-foot tall.

Lutz trimmed off the snow-covered stump’s sides in order to make the snowman appear more traditional. No one could tell from looking that the snowman had a hard base that proved to be an unpleasant surprise to Frosty’s unknown assailant.

Sometime on Monday, an as yet unidentified person drove a vehicle onto Lutz’s property when no one was home. When Lutz arrived home from work he spotted tire tracks all over his front yard. The tracks came to a sudden end at the snowman he had christened Hugh.

"It's hilarious,” Lutz laughed. He concluded that “everyone learns a valuable lesson from Frosty."

The camouflaged stump probably caused significant damage to the vehicle used, but the perpetrator was able to escape. While the guilty party may never be caught, he has already encountered icy-cold karma.
