How This Little Boy Bought His Mom A $80 Gift For Only $20 Is The Most Beautiful Thing, You'll Read All Day

Christmas is a special time for everyone. But this time is made more special when there are kids around. The excitement and wonder in the eyes of small children during Christmas are enough to lift the spirits of anyone.

Many children are preoccupied with packages under the Christmas tree that have their names written on them. However, other kids learn early that the true joy of Christmas is giving to others. Most children do not have money of their own and often give gifts they make themselves. These gifts are greatly appreciated by parents, grandparents, and others.

One young man, whose name is Gabe, had a different idea this Christmas. He set his eye on the perfect gift for his mother and was determined to make sure she received the gift. His mother, who goes by the name El Marie, used her social media account to share with the world a shopping trip taken with her son on Christmas Eve. The two of them browsed the shelves at Target when Gabe took off to do some shopping of his own.

When Marie approached the cashier for checkout, she was told by the cashier that her son was a special kind of angel. The mother says she noticed a handful of employees with suspicious looks on their faces. One of the employees was holding a roll of wrapping paper. Gabe appeared suddenly and shouted to his mother to close her eyes. She remembers her son as being highly excited when he yelled at her "it is not ready yet."

Marie was a little confused. She asked Gabe how he planned to purchase a gift when he did not have any money. He promptly explained to her he only needed the $20 she owed him for work he performed at her job the week before. Marie handed the money to her son. Marie could tell by the smiles of everyone around her that she was the only person unaware of what was happening.

As the bewildered mother continue to check out the cashier reminded her again of just how amazing Gabe is. Once finished at the register, Marie turned to see Gabe at the door with a large, wrapped package. Gabe encouraged his mother to open the package. He told her it was something she really wanted.

Marie had a thousand questions for her son. The first of which was how did he make a purchase when he only had $20. She also wanted to know how he convinced Target employees to wrap the gift for him. 

Marie was still unclear on how her son paid for the gift. She says she lost it emotionally when she finally understood what her son and an anonymous person did for her. Gabe explained to her that when he didn't have enough for the $80 gift, a lady who was in line behind him gave him $60. Marie was shocked at the news and could only ask did he thank the lady for her generosity.

Gabe explained that he thanked and hugged the woman. He also told her, "God bless you." Gabe and Marie decided she would wait until the next day to open her gift. They awakened early Christmas morning and Marie discovered a winter coat in the package her son gave to her. She instantly remembered the conversation her son overheard about the coat. Marie thanked the woman who had shown her son such generosity via popular social media site.
