Hospice Worker Serenades Elderly Patient With Famous Song

A hospice patient at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehab Center in Ohio received a beautiful present from a hospice worker who wanted to comfort the elderly lady in her last remaining days.

Joshua Woodard passionately performed “How Great Thou Art”, a well-known Christian hymn in the patient’s room.

This beautiful and touching moment was caught on camera and it reminds us of the nurse performing a song for his young patient who was suffering from cancer. A relative of the patient posted the video on her Facebook page and it received about 6,000 shares. Many viewers commented how sweet this gesture was or how it gave them the goosebumps.

In this case, Joshua has met the patient named Mary when he was only 9 years old. Mary used to work as a piano and voice teacher and the hospice worker was one of her many students.

Only recently Mary passed away, which turns this video into an even more emotional experience.

Watching videos like this makes it clear that some hospice workers are very special and truly care about their patients.
