Growing up without a family is one of the saddest things a person can go through, but unfortunately, it happens often in the foster care system. One boy, Logan Hunt, went through this experience when he was put up for adoption as a toddler. He went through a painful failed adoption as a child and bounced from foster home to foster home until he aged out of the system in 2013.

Logan, whose original name was Seth Miller, was living in his car when the WFAA news team asked to do an interview with him. He agreed, and sharing his story with the world ended up changing his life in unimaginable ways. Logan discovered he has a biological sister, and her family reached out because they wanted to meet him.

Logan’s sister is named Shyann, and her adopted parents are Robert and Ara Hunt. The Hunts said they knew Logan was part of their family the moment they saw his interview with WFAA. After getting to know each other, the Hunt family asked Logan to move in and he agreed. In 2014, after a year of being together, the Hunts adopted the young man when he was 19. This is when Logan decided to change his name and begin a new life.

The look on Logan’s face when the judge pronounced him a legal member of the Hunt family is priceless and will move anyone to tears. This boy has been through so much and to see such joy and peace radiating from him is beautiful to say the least. Read on to hear more of Logan’s story.

In 2014, Logan sat down with USA Today and spoke about his experience growing up in foster care. When he described his life before finding his family, he said, "Everything around me was pretty much empty. Empty, alone, nowhere to kind of fit in, just an everyday kind of life, nothing really extraordinary to look forward to.”

At first, the Hunt family had some hesitations about inviting someone they didn’t know into their lives, but they quickly moved past them. Ara said, “When we let go of the fears, we found forever.” In the courtroom video, Robert said that Logan has been a member of their family for a long time and the adoption was only to make it legal.

Logan said it was his dream to find his forever family and now he knows where he belongs. “It feels awesome. Like I’m at peace,” he said. USA Today posted their coverage of the story on YouTube and the video has received over 5 million views.

The story has warmed the hearts of people from around the world, and they just couldn’t control their emotions. One person wrote in a comment, “The best part is he is now with his biological sister....can't see ..I'm crying.”

Other commenters highlighted the love of the Hunt family. “Wonderful couple for not even hesitating to take him in. When you do good deeds, great things come from it, and many times, those things are eternal,” wrote another person. This story is guaranteed to move you and we could not be happier for Logan and the entire Hunt family.
