Ethics and morals are part of one's personality. Right? It is quite debatable. This man from Thailand seems to be the proper demonstration for this debate.

Most people wouldn’t return lost cash to its rightful owner even if they had thousands in their wallets. But this homeless man with nothing to eat or a roof over his head found a wallet with money and returned it to its owner.

Woralop is the name of the kind and nobleman who came across a wallet at the time; he was forty-five years old. According to Metro, The wallet belonged to Niity Pongkriangyos, a businessman going about his usual routines but accidentally dropped his belongings on the floor.

Woralop had his eyes on the wallet and went ahead to pick it. In it was $577 (20000 baht), money that would have changed his life instantly had he decided to keep it to himself. The homeless man had never seen so much money in his life that it felt magical holding it.

"I was totally surprised when the police told me they had my wallet as I didn’t even know I’d lost it. My first reaction was ‘wow’, if it was me in that position with no money I probably would have kept it."  said mr Pongkriangyos, "But he was homeless and had just a few coins in his pocket and still handed it in. That shows a good, honest person. Just the kind of staff we need."

Among his choices was the simplest. Take the money and use it up for his own needs. He was homeless and had a lot of needs to offset. That would be the normal thing to do for most people after taking their problems into thought.

But Woralop isn’t your average man. He might be poor on paper and materials but rich at heart. The homeless man chose to return the wallet to its owner intact without even withdrawing a single cent. In a bid to catch the businessman, he couldn’t manage to get to him on time.

This didn’t deter his objectives. Instead, he switched lanes and headed to the police station. There, he reported lost items. You wouldn’t imagine the kind of shock that befell the police officers after Woralop handed in a wallet full of cash when he had the chance to make his life a little better.

Out of gratitude, the businessman Nitty Pongkriangyos was moved with the homeless man’s actions. He chose to change the man’s life as a way to thank him for his kindness and unbending ethics. The only way he could help Woralop out of his state was giving him an opportunity to work and fend for himself. Nitty employed Woralop in his steel factory.

Woralop would have seemed stupid at first, handing in a wallet full of cash, but in the end, his integrity and morals found him a long-lasting solution. Today, the man has a job, a home and lives properly. We need more "Woralops" in the world. Would you like to spread this story and teach more people about morals and integrity? The two have wonderful gifts from Woralop’s story.
