Homeless Man Is The Reason NFL Star Made It To Playoff Game In Time

When most of us think of homeless people, thoughts of untrustworthy characters, severe mental health problems, and a total lack of morals almost certainly come to mind. Like all stereotypes, this one is simply inaccurate and unfair to people who are currently between permanent homes. You won't believe the good deed that this homeless man carried out.

The National Football League (NFL) is the most closely-followed professional sports organizations in the United States. As such, its players are some of the most popular athletes of all professional sports players.

Players become known and loved by hometown fans, not to mention people across the nation. Their social media accounts gain tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of followers.

People readily approach them for autographs and pictures. They even seem to have it easier in their romantic lives, pulling beautiful dates on a consistent basis. Since so much prestige is associated with being an NFL player, most people's eyes fill with pure allure upon running into these professional athletes. In other words, they go crazy for them!

eff Allen, a starting offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, found himself stuck in snow on the side of the road while on his way to Sunday's playoff matchup.

Unable to move his vehicle out of the jam he got himself in, Allen began to worry about the potential of letting his teammates down.

Dave Cochran, who is currently homeless, drove by Allen's vehicle shortly after the NFL player got stuck. Cochran noticed that its license plates were from Texas, a state that rarely gets dustings of snow, let alone blizzards.

The kind-hearted Dave Cochran turned his old, beat-up vehicle around with his girlfriend and dog in tow to help the Kansas City Chiefs starter out. Allen tweeted about it right away:

But Cochran had no idea he was an NFL player! Allen ended up arriving at Arrowhead Stadium on time on Sunday. After the game, Allen tweeted about Dave's good dead, asking for followers to retweet his post because he wanted to compensate Dave with free AFC Championship Game tickets.

It turns out that Dave has never attended an NFL game in person. He can't wait to watch his favorite football team play this Sunday. Watch Cochran talk about it for yourself:

We all think that we're selfless, kind-hearted people that are willing to help others in trying times. However, we often pass up opportunities to help people that require going out of our way. When's the last time you helped somebody and went out of your way in doing so? Let us know in the comments and spread the word about Dave's act of kindness!
