Homeless Man Helps Ambulance Drive Through Heavy Traffic By Urging Vehicles To Give Way

It's a sad reality that many homeless people face a stigma every day. People tend to believe that homeless people don't have much to offer society. They're often cast aside as not being worth time or attention.

While there are certainly many government programs and private charities reaching out to try to feed, clothe, and help the homeless population, there's still a stigma that the average person seems to have towards people who are relegated to the streets.

People have to realize that anyone has the potential to get into a bad situation and become homeless. Many people want to assume that these people arrived in their bad situation due to poor personal choices.

It's much easier to accept the hard times of another person if you can believe that it is somehow their fault. It's much more difficult to handle the sad reality of homelessness when people realize that many people end up in this situation due to things outside of their control.

Fortunately, there are many people working to break this stigma. One homeless man recently illustrated how charitable and compassionate the homeless population can be. He helped to make room on a busy road in order to help an ambulance pass through, reports the Gazette.

Muhammad Sandy Nugraha was the driver of the ambulance which was aided by the homeless man this November, in the city of Banceuy, Indonesia. Nugraha reports that there was an organized demonstration going on at the time, and there were cars parked on either side of the road. The driver took to Instagram to share how the homeless man had helped get the ambulance through the busy road. The heavy traffic essentially caused the ambulance to be stuck in its tracks until the homeless man saw the incident.

In the post, Nugraha reported that the helpful man ran to the ambulance and then signaled to other drivers on the road to make room. When the ambulance driver was able to make it through, he heard the man shout "Long Live Ambulance", celebrating his success at helping the ambulance get through traffic.

Nugraha said that he captured the footage of the helpful man in order to show people that it's not nice to judge people who are in unfortunate circumstances. This video shows that people shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
