Homeless Dog Is Rescued And Learns Playing With Toys For The First Time

Dogs are adorable creatures that make our lives simpler and much more fun. This is the reason many people own dogs in the first place. However, not all dogs have places to call home. They are generally referred to as strays.

This was the case with a beautiful dog named Maya who grew up without a home. Growing up without a permanent home can be difficult for dogs and would result in many unforeseen eventualities. Maya, the dog, was found in a parking lot along a busy road. Many people were touched to see the rescue dog play with a dog toy for the first time in her life.

Maya was discovered one hot afternoon in a parking lot scavenging for food leftovers. She was starving and extremely thirsty when she was found but still so sweet. Rescuing her was not part of the plan that the people who finally came to her aid had in mind. The rescuers were moving about while transferring another rescue dog like Maya to his new home. This was when they came upon a hungry, thirsty dog that was so sweet at a parking lot along the road.

Many dogs seek the safety of parking lots in and around busy roads where motorists are more likely to throw away scraps and leftovers after their meal. The rescuers, therefore, decided that this dog also deserved another chance to a good life. This was after they saw how submissive Maya was to their rescue process. And that is how Maya was finally rescued from the grip of hunger, thirst, and near-death experience on that hot summer afternoon.

Since Maya did not have the privilege to be raised in a permanent and loving home with a family, she did not know anything about toys for dogs. Her ignorance with regard to dog toys and how to play with them makes Maya a very unique and adorable dog. Watching Maya play with the first toy that her rescuers gave to her is a moment too beautiful to describe adequately.

The thrill in her eyes and energy in her muscles are so entertaining. Playing with her new toys, together with her rescue companions, prove enjoyable. Everybody loves to watch Maya be a dog and remain grateful to her rescuers. She willingly snaps at the toy and moves about shuffling it in in her mouth with utmost excitement. It brings so much joy to watch her play with a toy for the first time since her rescue.

Maya is also known for her love for other animals. She loves other animals, whether they are big or small in size. She can make new friends easily and within a short time. She has no problem mingling and being friendly with a new puppy just as much as she takes very well to some of the dogs of her size. Her playmates are other rescue dogs at the shelter seeking refuge while awaiting adoption to new families. You would be amazed to watch Maya nurse a new puppy back to its enthusiastic nature. Besides, it is incredible how she manages to share the spaces available with other rescue dogs at the shelter. 

Finally, many dogs fail to grow and live full, healthy lives because they lack homes. Maya is just an example among very many similar cases. Thanks to the rescuers, she has a new home at the shelter, food, water and enough playmates and toys to pass the time
