“Do You Hear What I Hear?” has been a Christmas favorite since 1962. It has sold millions of copies and many different artists have covered the song. However, not too many people know the true meaning of the song. It was actually written during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a plea for peace among men and women.

Harry Simeone Chorale recorded the song first. This group also popularized another Christmas hit, “The Little Drummer Boy.” A quarter of a million copies of the song were sold when it was first released during the Christmas season.

The following season, Bing Crosby decided to release his own version of the song. That particular version became just as big of a hit.

Home Free has followed suit with their own amazing rendition of the classic song. Their beautiful voices capture the spirit of the season perfectly.
