British TV show host Holly Willoughby teared up this week on air after watching a video in which a family of six sings in isolation.

Willoughby admitted on the show that the video of the family singing amid the coronavirus lockdown made her “very emotional.”

The video was uploaded by the father Dr. Ben Marsh, a history lecturer at Canterbury University. It has now gone viral with close 5 million views at the time of writing.

Marsh is shown singing a cover version of One Day More from Les Misérables with his wife Danielle and their four children, Alfie, 13; Thomas, 12; Ella, 10; and Tess, 8. The cover featured revised lyrics which reflected the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

The humorous video even featured a scene in which Marsh pretends to take a gulp from a champagne bottle as the children sang:

"Watch our daddy drink, see our mummy sigh, clapping for the NHS can make ‘em cry."

After the video ended, Willoughby is seen wiping away tears and becoming emotional.

"There are so many families that are spending time together trying to think of things to do,” Willoughby said, both laughing and tearing up. “It is just so magical."

Dr. Marsh and his wife spoke to presenters Willoughby and Philip Schofield about their video becoming a viral sensation.

"It has been strange, we obviously hit a nerve,” Dr. Marsh said. "We always get together and do singalongs anyway and the kids play instruments.”

"We have never been able to do a song from Les Mis as the boys don't want to sing romantic parts."

Mom Danielle explained that the video was uploaded late in the evening with just a few friends tagged on it. Many asked the family if they could share the video themselves, causing the video to eventually go viral.

"A few people said 'can we share this' and it just snowballed, it has been completely bizarre,” she said.

"And because we are stuck in our own little bubble it’s hard to comprehend, people have been texting us from Australia saying they have seen it."
