Long gone are the days of the Disney channel for actress Hilary Duff. The actress was born in September of 1987 and spent her childhood differently than most. She starred in "Casper Meets Wendy," before landing her own iconic series. At the young age of 13, Duff starred in a Disney Channel premiere series still beloved today. "Lizzie McGuire" premiered in January 2001 and aired its finale in February 2004.

Duff starred in "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," and launched another impressive project. "Metamorphosis," her second studio album, lived on the Billboard 200 and sold over 5 million copies in the first two years. Duff later stood alongside Chad Michael Murray in "A Cinderella Story." Duff has admitted that playing 'Lizzie' made it harder for her to land roles she desired. However, Duff stepped away from the spotlight and into the role of motherhood in 2012.

She welcomed a baby boy with her first husband, Mike Comrie. After a private divorce, Duff is now married to Matthew Komo whom she shares two daughters with. Making her return to the screen, Duff is now working back in the acting industry, starring in "How I met Your Father" and recently attempting to launch a reboot of "Lizzie McGuire." With a full schedule and family Duff is now balancing the best of worlds.

Recently she has graced the cover of Women's Health Magazine, where she brought light into her home and behind-the-scenes life. With three children, a husband, and work, the star admits she does the best she can every day. She also opened up and revealed Hollywood's pressures didn't always allow the bliss her life holds currently.

In an exclusive interview with Women's Health, Duff admitted she suffered from an eating disorder when she was younger. Now, she embraces her beauty. She said, "I'm proud of my body. I'm proud that it's produced three children for me. I've gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through. I also want people to know a makeup artist was there putting glow all over my body and someone put me in the most flattering position."

Duff also told Women's Health she works hard on more than just her appearance. Her confidence and peace come from the work she does on the inner her.

"We bust our ass to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can. We get facials and Botox and our hair done and highlights and brows and lash lifts and all this shit. But I want to work on the inside. That's the most important part of the system," she said.

Still remaining a large part of the entertainment industry, Duff is now a producer and actress on "How I Met Your Father." With her character 'Sophie' having similarities to her old character 'Lizzie'— Duff says she loves the crossover. It hasn't always been that way, though. "It would be dumb of me to not know that I have a sweet spot playing that relatable girl," she admitted. "I am that girl."

Living her best life, Duff has successfully gone from a child star to a successful actress in film and television.
