High School Drum Majors Impress Football Fans With Smooth Marching Band Routine

Jefferson Davis High School (JDHS) went up against Dothan in Montgomery's Cramton Bowl. While the game was pretty good, the fans were blown away by the marching band.

It was November 1st, Senior night. The JDHS band got into formation, ready to hype up the crowd. Little did the audience know, the band was prepared.

Justin Heideman took the front of the procession. Justin is a 17-year-old high school senior. He is also a drum major and his skill for marching would soon be put on display. He knows a thing or two about the band. Justin's nickname is "Vanilla Funk"–lovingly given to him by the other members of the band.

The performance began with a few quick shrieks of the whistle and then the group began moving with Justin front and center. The group's choreography was on point. They moved effortlessly, displaying skill beyond their years.

The JDHS band put on a mind-blowing performance. They made it look so easy! Yet, anyone who's ever worked in such an environment knows they must've spent hours rehearsing. All their effort shines through in an exceptional show.

The onlookers were pulled into the school spirit. With the sheer talent radiating from the band and dancers, it would be hard not to be!

A video of the performance was uploaded to YouTube and has gone viral. Viewers seem to agree that Justin Heideman definitely earned his spot as drum major. If this band members keeps marching into college, they could accomplish great things.
