If you are like most people, you have been to your fair share of high school sporting events. At some of these events, the drill or dance teams take to the court or field to perform a routine at halftime. While each performance may have unique choreography to various popular songs, very few of them stand out and are truly memorable.

When the drill team at Dodge City High School recently performed at halftime during their basketball team’s championship game, they mesmerized the audience. In fact, their performance was so unique that a video of it has gone viral.

When the drill team walked to the center of the basketball court, they were wearing white, flowing gowns and angelic crowns that lit up. Rather than starting their performance with dancing, one of the girls started singing the recognizable lyrics to “Hallelujah.” Soon, two more girls started to sign along with the soloist, and the entire dance team started their beautiful routine.

The song transitioned into a mash-up of songs that were equally touching. The girls spread their arms out to reveal that their gowns actually had illuminated wings attached to them. The moment became even more magical when the lights in the arena were turned off. The glow of the crowns and the graceful movement of the illuminated wings created an effect that nobody in the arena will soon forget.
