Driver Mike Jones narrowly escaped the flames when he lost control of his race car during a race at the South Boston Speedway, located in Virginia. His car first crashes into another race car before spinning completely out of control. It then slams straight into a wall before coming to a rest in the middle of the track, sparks flying.

Within seconds, flames began shooting high from the car with Jones stuck inside for around 20 seconds. His father, Dean Jones, began to panic when he saw his son in imminent danger.

He jumps over the fence and runs to save his son!

Dean was wearing just a t-shirt and shorts but did not hesitate to reach into the car to save his son. As the engine burned and more flames shot out, Dean was there to help save his son from the wreckage.

He pulled Mike to safety through the window as the car burned. But his bravery didn’t end there! After Mike was safe, this heroic father ran back with staff to the burning vehicle to help them put out the intense flames.

Mike was not hurt in the accident. However, reports say that NASCAR may pursue charges against his father for running on to the race track to help put out the fire.
