Hero Dad Is Left Fighting For His Life Trying To Save His Son After Falling Off A Balcony

Sometimes parents face situations that require them to risk their lives. This father had no problem risking his life in a heartbeat.

Every parent boasts about how much he or she loves the children, but not all parents ever have to prove it. Brad Lewis recently had to risk his life for the love of his son, Oscar. They were having fun one day and playing Nerf guns on the balcony. They were just having fun as fathers and sons should do. Brad had to dodge bullets that his son, Oscar, had hurled at him. After that, he shot some toward Oscar's way. Oscar, being an impulsive child, ran after the bullet trail. He accidentally stumbled over the balcony, and Brad saw that happening.

Brad scurried over to where his son was and jumped to grab him so that he would not fall off the balcony. He was willing to risk his life so that Oscar would survive. Unfortunately, his weight and speed caused a different chain of events to occur. Both of them ended up going over the balcony. However, Brad was able to brace Oscar's fall and take the brunt of it upon himself. The outcome is a bit strange for both of them, but they are both alive. Oscar most likely would not be alive if Brad had not done what he did. 

Family and friends are hoping for Brad's recovery. A GoFund Me account has been set up to cover Brad's hospital bills and the family's other expenses. It's doing well. The family has earned almost $68,000 for such bills. They will always remember Brad as the heroic person who was willing to risk his life so that his son may live.
