Actor Keanu Reeves turns 56 today. Besides blockbusters like John Wick and The Matrix franchises, the Canadian actor is also the star of many popular memes, making him not just one of Hollywood's most beloved but also an icon of the Internet.

To celebrate the gift to our world that is his beauty, here are ten photos to prove that this Virgo baby hasn't aged at all since the 80s.

The most famous Keanu in the world (Note: Probably most famous. And it helps to have a rare name. Although, Keanu himself said that he's personally met another person named Keanu—his cousin.) turns 56 today! Keanu Reeves has long been an icon, but last year, in particular, reached a career peak — a period of activity that many call “the Keanaissance.” But he didn't earn that just from his films.

Outside of work, Keanu has made headlines numerous times just by being a genuinely good guy. His kind gesture of offering his seat to a woman on the subway, the time he helped organize a road trip with fellow passengers after an emergency plane landing, and when he shared a meal with a homeless guy are just a few examples that are a testament to his character.

Keanu revealed in an interview last year that he had romantic feelings for Sandra Bullock when they filmed Speed together back in 1994. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra had admitted a year before that she, too, had a crush on Keanu.

"It was hard for me to really be serious because he would look at me and I'd be like," she said. She shared that they never dated, so there must have been something about her "that he didn't like."

In his interview, Keanu said that he didn't know that Sandra had a crush on him. "She obviously didn't know that I had a crush on her, either," he added.

Born to a mother of British descent and a father of British, Chinese, Portuguese, and Native Hawaiian descent, Keanu has his mixed heritage to thank for his good genes.

"Throwing down with Peter Stormare as I'm bleeding out and he's leaning into me and lighting my cigarette. Or throwing down with Tilda Swinton as she's choking me, [saying] 'Hello, John,' with her foot on my throat," Keanu excitedly rattled off, the latter of whom plays the Archangel Gabriel.
