Babies cry about so many different things it can be hard to figure out exactly what is wrong at times. As a parent, you learn your baby’s various cries, what they mean, and what you need to do to soothe them back to a state of calm.

As a parent, you’d never ignore your crying baby. However, what do you do when he just seems to be crying for no reason at all?

There may be one thing you just haven’t checked yet! Your baby could be suffering from mild pain for a reason you would never consider.

Today recently reported that babies can often cry because of stray hairs! These little hairs can wrap themselves around his toes and form what is referred to as a “hair tourniquet.” These tourniquets cut off the blood supply to the baby’s feet or toes and can cause a great deal of pressure on the skin.

This puts your baby in pain and they have no way to communicate with you or to remove the strand of wrapped hair themselves.

Toes are often covered by socks in colder months and parents likely don’t even see the wrapped strand of hair. You can prevent this by making sure to check the baby’s toes, feet, and hands for wrapped hair strands.
