Heartwarming Moment Man Asks Brother With Down's Syndrome To Be His Best-Man

Choosing a best man is one of the most important decisions of your life. It's the perfect honor to bestow upon that person who's been by your side for years—that person who's made you laugh, supported you when you cried, and helped you through all of life's challenges.

When Will Claussen from Hackensack, Minnesota got engaged, he knew this wedding was going to be special. Because he already had the right person in mind to be his best man, his brother Henry Joe. Take a look at the heartwarming way he asked him.

At the start of the video, we see Will and his brother Henry Joe digging for something in the backyard. Henry Joe hacks at the dirt with his shovel until he hits something hard. Will's fiancé AJ films the entire scene, encouraging Henry Joe along the way. It sounds like she's going to be a great sister-in-law.

"You hit something," Will says. Henry Joe lifts a glass bottle out of the dirt and looks at it with confusion written all over his face. Where did this come from? "What is that?" AJ says slyly (as if she doesn't know!) As Henry Joe studies the bottle, AJ says "Is that a message inside?"

Of course, there is any number of ways that Will could have asked Henry Joe to be his best man. He could have simply asked him in person, sent him a letter or a phone call, or asked him the question during a family dinner. But instead, Will and AJ decided to invite Henry Joe to their wedding in the most charming, delightful way possible. There's no way that Henry Joe could have anticipated what was about to happen next.

The video continues with AJ saying "Let's check it out. Huh," she adds in a falsely confused voice. "How did that get there?"

Will helps Henry Joe take the letter out of the bottle. "Will, did you put it in here?" Henry Joe says. "No," Will says. He unwraps the letter while Henry Joe peers curiously at the message. "What does it say?" AJ asks as if she'd never seen the bottle before in her life. "Is it a prank?"

Of course, this message wasn't a prank at all. Will holds the letter in front of Henry Joe and helps him read it. Henry Joe reads out every word individually: "Henry Joe: You are already the best bro and also the best friend. So will you please say 'yes' to be my best man? Love, Will."

You've never seen a happier face in your life. "What?" Henry Joe says, his mouth opens in shock. Beaming with pride, Will asks Henry Joe if he wants to be his best man. And what happens next is almost too amazing to describe—you'll have to watch the video yourself to get the full effect.

Henry Joe jumps at Will and pulls him into a massive hug. It seems that he's been waiting for a moment like this his whole life, and Will has finally been able to show Henry Joe just how much he means to him. AJ films the entire scene, and it's safe to assume that she's just as filled with love and happiness as Will and Henry Joe are. These two brothers clearly have an incredible relationship.
