Heartbroken Vet Reveals That Pets Are 'Scared' And Look Around For Owners In Dying Moments

If you were in a hospital or at home and knew that you were dying, you would likely want someone with you for the duration so that you wouldn't be alone. Your pets feel the same way and should have someone with them who they trust instead of someone they don't know.

A vet from Hillside Veterinary Clinic recently spoke out about how pets act when they pass away in a room with strangers. Most pets don't know why they are left alone in a room. They are frightened because they are in a new place, and when you leave them to pass away alone, it's a difficult time. The vet has reached out and is begging owners not to leave their pets in the room alone during the final moments. There is no need to be a coward at a time when pets want to be comforted.

He says, that pets often search for a familiar face in their final moments on earth. They are sick or injured and want someone to hold a paw or hold onto something while they pass away. He claims, that they need their owner to be around, as he or she has provided comfort in the past.

The vet signed the letter that was released on social media as "a broken-hearted vet". After the letter was released, the post was shared at least 80,000 times. One of the commenters, Randy Mason, shared his thoughts underneath the letter on social media. He was among the 4,000 people who voiced their opinions about what pet owners should do while their pets are dying. Randy had to say goodbye to one of his pets and was there by its side the entire time, telling his pet that he loved him.
