Heartbroken Dog Named Luck Who Fell Into A River Waits On Jetty For Its Owner

If you visit the Chao Phraya River in Thailand, you may encounter a dog at one of the jetties. His name is Luck, and he's waiting for his owner – an owner that may never return.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the pooch was seen riding on a ferry with his owner before being knocked off balance falling into the water. A local woman, Piengkamol Kerdsomsri, saw the dog trying to stay afloat as it paddled over to her home. The kindly lady pulled the dog to safety. He was shivering and drenched.

Now, every day, Luck comes down to the jetty. He waits patiently, watching for his owner. Every time there is a boat, Luck gets excited, expecting his master. Unfortunately, his owner is never on board. Luck is always sadly disappointed.

Despite this, though, he holds out hope and keeps waiting.

Meanwhile, the kind-hearted Piengkamol Kerdsomsri has been taking care of Luck. She has done her best to take care of Luck, offering him food and affection. Sadly, Luck often only halfway accepts this, sometimes refusing to eat before he goes to the pier.

Luck warmed to Kerdsomsri slowly. At first, he seemed very scared, as she recalled, according to the Daily Mail. He wouldn't eat, and wouldn't allow anyone to pet him. Seeing Luck search for his owner in vain was truly sad to Kerdsomsri, even heartbreaking.

Over time, Piengkamol Kerdsomsri and Luck have become very close. If his owner will never return, Kerdsomsri plans to formally adopt Luck.

If you were in Kerdsomsri's place, how would you respond? If this story touched you, consider showing your friends the story of Luck.
