He Pretends To Eat Cat Food, And The Cat's Reaction Is The Funniest

Cats are one of the most popular pets in the United States. In fact, these feline furballs are owned by more people than man's best friend.

While dogs may have the title of being our best friends, the statistics prove otherwise. According to Psychology Today, 74.8 million American households own a dog, compared to 88.3 million cat owners.

While most people will be initially surprised by these numbers, there are some obvious factors that should be considered. First and foremost, cats are much smaller than dogs. This means that cats are easier to accommodate in an apartment or home.

Cats are also much more independent than dogs. They are very easy for which to care. Cats don't have to be trained to use the bathroom either.

These are all good explanations for why cats are more popular than dogs, but there is one more factor that comes into play. Cats are hilarious.

Unlike dogs, cats still seem to think that they are in the wild. Whether hiding behind an object or hunting a mouse, cats act in very similar ways to their feline cousins in the wild. This behavior makes it very fun to mess with cats. Laser pointers, false meows and dangling objects all elicit a hilarious response from cats.

This hilarious behavior is often intended to be serious on the part of the cats. There is one viral video that portrays this dichotomy perfectly. A man is seen placing food in front of his pet cat. He watches and encourages the cat as it eats the food diligently. The man slowly starts to pull the bowl away from the cat. Without hesitation, the cat places its paw on the bowl and pulls it away from the man.

After waiting a few more seconds, the man takes away the bowl again. This time, he acts as though he is eating the food. The cat seems confused at first. Instead of sharing the food with his beloved owner, the cat once again places his paw in the bowl.

The cat moves the bowl further away from his owner and continues to eat as if nothing happened. The video has been released online and has already garnered thousands of views.
