Have Patience Until You Meet The Man Who Feels Like Home

One day, he's going to take you by the hands and look into your eyes. You have waited for him for so long. Your heart races, but you know it's all good. You can feel the butterflies in your stomach.

"You're all I've been looking for," he'll whisper, "for my whole life."

Wait for him. Wait for the man who will make you feel safe and secure even when you're facing the toughest storms of your life. Even when you're terrified of everything you can't put into words. Wait for the man who will be your salvation when you feel like the world is out to get you. Wait for the man who would make you laugh even if you were watching a clock countdown to the end of the world. Choose the one who is everything you need; he is your best friend and your lover, not one or the other.

When you meet him, you might be scared. A lot of people have hurt you. You don't trust as easily as you used to, but pretty woman, you deserve him. Don't listen to the voice that tells you he isn't right, because you know better. And definitely, don't listen to the voice that says you don't deserve someone like him. He's all you've wanted. All you've waited for. The pain, the late nights, the heartache ... they all led you right here to this moment in his arms.

When he hugs you, you'll feel all the fractured pieces inside of you finally fusing together again. You will feel love, and it will be whole.

It may just be a strange tug on your heart. You may try to ignore it at first, but it will be no use. You'll remember this moment forever. You will know he is who life has been preparing you to love. The butterflies won't feel like a failure anymore. You will be happy to laugh, to let the butterflies escape through your lips and plant gentle kisses on his cheeks.

He will not force you to say, "I love you," back. He will love you, and you will know it without him having to say a thing. Nothing will ever be the same after you meet him, but don't be afraid.

Of course, you two are only human. You will fight from time to time, but there will always be a reason. He won't say things just to hurt you, and you won't have to stay up waiting for an apology to feel worthy again. He will not hurt you. He will not hit you. He will not abuse you.

With this love, you can be yourself. He will want you exactly as you are in all your craziness, your anxiety, your silliness, and weirdness. Your happiness will always be his number one priority. He'll go out of his way to make you laugh and feel loved, even if he makes a fool of himself in the process.

He will never ignore you just to make himself feel better. He doesn't want control. He just wants your love. When you wake up beside him for the first time, you'll feel at home. This is the feeling of safety. It's Christmas morning and soft summer rain and bedtime stories whispered by your mother all in one.
