Ford was born in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He comes from a line of thespians, actors, and models, so it is no surprise that this is the path he also chose to follow. As well as his on-screen presence, he is a firm believer in keeping his private life out of the public eye.

He is married to actress Calista Flockhart, with whom he shares an adopted son, Liam, reports Closer. He has four other children from his previous marriages.

Though Ford has been part of some of the most iconic film franchises of the last few decades, he also has a string of other films he is equally well-known for, such as "Bladerunner," "Apocalypse Now," and "Air Force One," among many others.

The actor is showing no signs of slowing down. According to Cinema Blend, he is waiting to start work on the fifth "Indiana Jones" film and keeps himself in good shape so that he can still do some of his own stunts.

Ford is the fourth highest-grossing U.S. domestic box-office star, reports Fantha Tracks. We are sure his successes will continue long into the future! In his free time, Ford is an avid environmental conservationist. He is also passionate about aviation and has a pilot's license.

According to Parade, he said, "if there’s nothing more pressing and the weather’s good, I’ll go flying—I love to fly up there—or walk in the woods, do some work, ride my road bike, or mountain bike." No doubt his birthday will be spent doing something similar!
