Hardworking Nurse Falls Asleep In Hairdressing Chair, Stylist Notices Her Shoes And Quickly Takes Photo

It's often hard for working mothers to take time for themselves. That's why going to the salon is such a pleasure. One hair stylist was really impressed with her hardworking client and shared a picture of her on social media. The post has received over 20,000 views on Facebook.

Recently, a nurse walked into the Captivate Salon & Spa in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to receive a haircut after she had been working all night. The owner of the salon, Ashley Bolling, noticed that the nurse quickly fell asleep after sitting in the chair. Next, she took a photo of the woman's shoes and posted it on her Facebook page. On the post, she wrote:

“I wondered how many miles those shoes have walked. I wondered what they’d walked through. Blood? Tears? In & out of the countless rooms of the patients she’s cared for? I wondered how many hours they’ve carried her, and all those like her, while they literally save the lives of those we love and hold the hands of the ones who can no longer fight that fight.

“But with those shoes propped up in that chair, phone in her lap, I got the chance to take care of her (even if it was just for a few hours) and I felt extremely honored to take care of such a hardworking, inspiring woman I’m so lucky to call my friend.”

Then, the nurse's husband stopped by the salon. He said that their daughter had forgotten her track shoes for school. The nurse removed her shoes and gave them to her husband to take to her daughter. She walked out of the salon in socks that day.

"She's usually this spunky, energetic little thing, but she was so tired,'' Bolling told TODAY. "It was one of those moments that just smacks you in the face. They're always taking care of the people that we love, and they don't get the appreciation they deserve."
