Happy Fox Can't Stop Giggling As Woman Comes To Play Outdoors

Apr 23, 2020 by apost team

Save A Fox Rescue was founded in 2017, when founder Mikalya Raines and a team of three others now decided they wanted to rescue foxes that had previously been kept as pets, from fur farmers, had been injured while illegally being owned, or otherwise some type of domestic fox that required proper care.

Little Finnegan, the star of this video, clearly loves his human "mom" and caretaker, and practically invites her outside!

Finnegan is a smart little fox, knowing just how to get mom's attention. He pops up at the kitchen window whenever he wants her to come out, which he does, with excitement in his eyes. Dutifully, his human mom goes over to get her snow boots, because this is the middle of February in Minnesota, where the rescue service is located!

The moment she goes outside, Finnegan is already waiting at the door, knowing that once he's gotten her to come from the window, she'll soon be at the door. He makes absolutely adorable sounds that almost sound like giggling, and can't seem to keep away from her. She notes that she knows Finnegan wants to come inside, but says, "I'd let you inside but you'd just pee everywhere... yeah... the first thing you'd do is you would go on my bed and you'd pee on my pillows!"

Finnegan is not alone outside and in the background you can see another, fluffier fox that is identified as Dixie, getting an eyeful of Finnegan begging for attention.

Finn absolutely loves the petting, but mom starts to realize why he's there and looks under his neck and finds just why he came! He wanted to be groomed! Wild foxes mates would generally groom each other, and poor Finn has some icicles and fur balls frozen under his neck that he absolutely delights in when she starts tugging them free. You can tell how much trust and love there is from Finnegan's side and how much care the woman takes in doting on her foxes.

Dixie even comes over for a look to see what exactly is going on. Despite his giggling and absolutely cute attention, mom says how cold she's getting and says good-bye to Finnegan, heading back inside, only to note that he's scratching at the door, hoping still to be let in! As if knowing exactly what will happen next, she heads back to the kitchen, and right on cue, Finnegan pops his head up, not wanting the time together to end.

Save A Fox takes volunteers and guests on their website, but it still must be noted that domestic foxes are still not totally tame, so there is a waiver people have to sign. That's probably a small risk that many people would take to be able to interact with these wonderful little furry foxes!

It's absolutely heartwarming to see how much love there is between this caring woman and her rescue foxes. They have so much trust for her, and she knows what she's doing. After you've enjoyed Finnegan's precious antics, be sure to spread the love and tell all your friends about this story. And don't hesitate to leave your comments below about what you think of the efforts of these volunteers in taking care of these foxes who are unable to return to the wild.
