The singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran turns 29 today, February 17. Before reaching the age of 30 he already has a number of accomplishments under his young belt. Let's take a look at the popular musician's recent successes for his birthday.

Ed Sheeran has done what some only dare to dream as a young man. He came on the scene in 2011 with his album "+" (plus) that sold a million copies in the UK in the first six months, according to Biography.com.

The album was just the beginning of a string of hit records and singles and record-breaking chart accomplishments. The latest being his 2019 collaboration with Justin Bieber, "I Don't Care," establishing a new single-day streaming record for Spotify.

Among all of the new music, chart-topping hits, and collaborations, Ed found time to marry his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn. According to The Sun, they were wed in a private ceremony just before Christmas 2018.

Being a newlywed was probably the reason he announced a short break after his two-year "Divide" tour in 2019 which Forbes reported as the highest-grossing tour of all time.

To top off an incredible string of successes, right before the end of 2019, the UK's official charts gave Ed an award being the "Official Number One Artist of the Decade" 2010-2019.
