Happy Birthday, Prince William The Duke Of Cambridge Is 37 Today

Today, June 21st marks Prince William’s 37th birthday. But will the Duke of Cambridge be celebrating his birthday today or follow royal tradition and celebrate a different day?

According to the British tabloid Express, “Royal tradition dictates that British monarchs do not publicly celebrate their birthdays on the actual day they were born. Instead, they have a celebration involving horse guard parades and RAF(Royal Air Force) displays each year in the summer months to publicly commemorate their birthday.” Last year, Prince William decided to work instead of play for birthday. The Royal UK news outlet reported last year that Prince William performed royal duties rather than celebrate his birthday.

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. The Duke and Duchess first met at St. Andrew’s University, William said in an interview with ITV, “We were friends for over a year at first and it just sort of blossomed from then on,” Kate added in the interview,” I actually went bright red when I met you [William] and sort of scuddled off feeling very shy about meeting you.”

William and Kate went on to have three children together, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, four, and most recently Prince Louis, one. Prince William is the first child of the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles union. We hope the Prince has a wonderful birthday and we send him the warmest wishes on his special day.
