American actor Sam Elliot has been known for playing cowboys in movies and TV series throughout his career and even played one in a Superbowl commercial from last year. Elliot's iconic mustache and southern drawl have given him this timeless charm that one can't help but remember on his 76th birthday.

Sam Elliot is known for his cowboy roles in TV and films such as “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “Tombstone,” and “The Quick and the Dead.” Even as an actor in his 70s, he's still an American heartthrob and even has a role in the show "The Ranch." Elliot's cowboy persona will just never get old.

Even though Elliot was born in Sacramento, California in 1944, he told Parade Magazine in an interview:

“I’m a sixth-generation Texan, even though I was born in California."

This explains Elliot's mesmerizing southern drawl and classic gentleman charm.

Elliot's recent appearances include the 2018 movie, 'A Star is Born' and the viral 2020 Superbowl commercial he did with musician Lil Nas X for the song "Old Town Road." The commercial featured Sam Elliot showing off his moves in 'wild west' style dance-off that brought comedy to his cowboy persona.
