Hairdresser Gives Free Haircuts To Poor Families, Then She Gets A Surprise Of Her Own

What comes around, goes around. Sometimes even in the most touching ways. A hairdresser from Edmond, Oklahoma experienced this first hand when she was surprised with cash as a reward for all of her generosity with the community.

Traci Singer views herself as a servant of God, always willing to help others in need. Earlier this year, Singer gave of herself willingly when she donated her skills and time to provide free back-to-school haircuts for children in need.

The haircut initiative is part of the broader Project 66’s back-to-school backpack program, in which people can donate school supplies to community members who may need a little extra help.

As part of Project 66's program, Singer and her colleagues gave free haircuts to 50 children in the area. Singer and her eight hairdressers did so willingly because they knew how important it was for these kids to start the new school year off feeling good about themselves and their physical appearance.

This is not even the first time that Singer has participated in this program. Singer was ready and willing to be called on again whenever needed. Eve Cook from Project 66 nominated Singer to be rewarded with the Pay It Forward award sponsored by First Fidelity Bank.

This video shows the moment that Singer found out that she had won $400 in cash for her willingness to always serve others. Singer was clearly overwhelmed as the news crew paid a visit to her salon to present her with the honor:

What did you think about this touching video? Pass this story on to inspire others in your community, especially if you know someone who is doing good in their community, too. Give that person a shout-out and the attention they deserve. Let's spread some joy together.
