Gwyneth Paltrow is an American film actress that is best known for her many starring roles in such films as "Shakespeare In Love," "Seven," "The Talented Mr. Ripley," and for her appearances in the "Iron Man" films as Pepper Potts. The actress has been the recipient of many awards and accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Paltrow was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 27, 1972. Her parents also worked in the entertainment industry. Her mother is actress Blythe Danner, and her father is producer and director Bruce Paltrow. Her father was Jewish, and her mother was raised Christian, so Paltrow and her siblings grew up celebrating both Jewish and Christian holidays.

The star began her acting career after leaving the University of California, Santa Barbara, prior to graduating. Her acting debut was in 1989 in the TV film "High." Her first big commercial success came in 1991 with her appearance as Wendy Darling in the film "Hook," with Robin Williams. Paltrow went on to develop an incredible talent as an actress and reached great critical success with the film "Shakespeare In Love."

After marrying Chris Martin and giving birth to her daughter, Paltrow decided to greatly scale back her acting career. Since 2006 with the birth of her second child, Paltrow has not taken a leading role in any films. Currently, Paltrow is married to producer Brad Falchuk, but she has spoken out recently about her previous relationship with actor Brad Pitt, who she was engaged to in the 1990s. Keep reading to hear more about Paltrow's relationship with Pitt and how they ended up with matching haircuts.

Paltrow was asked by Harper's Bazaar in 2020 if she would want to return to starring in films. "Literally never--- never," she emphasized. "When I was acting I really burned myself out. When the flywheel kicked in, I was doing three to five movies a year. I really got to the point where even the little things, like sitting in the van going to set, getting your makeup touch-ups, and everything—I really don't know that I can bear it."

Instead of acting, Paltrow has dedicated her time to her family, including her husband, Falchuk. Harper's Bazaar brought up that Paltrow and Falchuk don't live together despite being married. "One of my best friends was like, 'That is my dream. Don't ever move in.' I think it certainly helps with preserving mystery and also preserving the idea that this person has their own life. So this is something I'm trying to remain aware of now as we merge together," the actress explained.

There is no love lost from the couple's decision to live separately. Falchuk told the magazine:

"There's a public Gwyneth Paltrow, and there are all these ideas about who that is. And the reality is, the real Gwyneth Paltrow is so much more amazing, so much more than that, and that's the one that I keep getting struck by and can't believe I'm married to. All that curiosity and humility and non-judgment and desire for growth, and openness and excitement about the world. It's like, well, when that's your wife, how do you not have the same approach?"

Now that she is very happily remarried, Paltrow holds no grudges when it comes to her exes. "One of them is still one of my best friends—one from high school, Tony Woods," she said. "And I'm friendly with Brad Pitt. I don't have any really bad blood."

When it comes to Pitt, Paltrow only has good things to say. "He was so nice and we were a very '90s couple," she told Vogue in April 2021 while looking over old photos of the two together on the red carpet.

In an Instagram video promoting a product for her lifestyle company GOOP, Paltrow looks over pictures of herself with many different hairstyles. One photo shows the star with unflattering crimped hair, and Paltrow laughs with her stylist Kevin Keating. In a similar photo, Paltrow and Pitt are sporting nearly the exact same hairstyle.

"Awww, matching haircuts!" Paltrow exclaimed at the photo of the couple at the 1997 premiere of "The Devil's Own." She added, "We went to the same stylist for the cut. (Celebrity hairstylist) Chris McMillan cut both of our hair like this." Both Paltrow and Pitt have stunning blonde highlights and the same swooped bangs, making them look very similar.

Suddenly during the conversation, Keating suggests they call Pitt. "No! Why would we call him?!" Paltrow asked in astonishment. To which Keating responded, "We'd like to talk about the look!"

"No! Nobody asked me about involving Brad Pitt," Paltrow said about shooting her promo video for GOOP's latest product. From the way the actress joked and smiled at the photo, it seems her memories of her time with Pitt are nothing short of lovely.
