On Father's Day last Sunday, Gwen Stefani shared a touching message to Blake Shelton in which she thanked him for helping her raise her sons Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. Posted to Instagram, she included sweet photos of Blake and her kids alongside a heartwarming caption.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's relationship is so sweet and has been very public ever since the two coaches from The Voice got together in 2015. They often praise each other on social media and declare their love for each other. Now, in honor of Father's Day, Gwen took to Instagram to show that the day is not only for biological fathers.

Sharing a series of photos of Blake and her sons—14-year-old Kingston, 11-year-old Zuma, and 6-year-old Apollo—the pictures show them fishing, drawing, and sharing many cuddles. If that weren't enough, her caption to the post is a real tearjerker. She wrote:

"Happy father's day @blakeshelton thank u for helping me raise these boys!! #weloveyou! G❤️K❤️Z❤️A❤️gx"

Stefani shares her three children with her ex-husband musician Gavin Rossdale, with whom she split in August 2015. Blake and Gwen famously got together while they were both coaches on The Voice at the end of 2015, going public in November of that year. They were both going through divorces in 2015 and it's believed that is what brought them closer together.

In a 2018 interview with TODAY, Blake touched on the fact that he thought he wouldn't have children but was happily surprised at having a hand in raising Gwen's sons. He said he "never saw it coming, but it's so fun," and that he'd "kind of put that (aside), like, 'I guess that's not meant to be.' And then all of the sudden it happens, one way or another."

A few days before Father's Day Gwen shared another touching post on her Instagram for Blake's birthday. Posting a photo of the two of them, in which Gwen is giving Blake a big kiss on the cheek, she wrote: "happy birthday @blakeshelton thank u for being my best friend 🥳🎂 gx #luckyme #june18th"

Questions about whether the couple will ever get married have been a hot topic for years now. They've talked openly about it happening, but that there's no rush. Entertainment Tonight reported that they've put plans on hold for now, what with everything happening in the world. In an interview with ET in June 2019, Blake told the publication they'd reveal their engagement when it did happen, stating: "I promise you, we won't break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines. When it happens, you'll hear about it." The couple seems truly happy and very lucky to have Blake as a true father figure to Gwen's sons.
