Gwen Stefani Posts Previously Unseen Clip From Blake Shelton's Proposal

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are one of Hollywood's most adorable couples. Ever since the beginning of their romance in 2015 when they were both coaches on "The Voice," to their frequent social media posts about each other where they often declare their love for one another, the couple has shared an incredibly sweet high profile romance for the last 6+ years. 

After dating for over five years, during which both would frequently gush about the other during interviews and on social media, it became a hot topic about whether they'd ever get married, with the couple frequently having to field questions about any rumored engagements. Then last year in October, Shelton proposed to Stefani inside a chapel that he'd built himself on his Oklahoma ranch. The news spread that the couple was finally engaged, with Shelton writing on his Instagram post that Stefani saved his 2020.

In July of this year, the couple had their gorgeous wedding at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch, which was officiated by none other than Carson Daly, the host of "The Voice." Since then, the couple has been living in wedded bliss and they've even occasionally performed together while introducing the other as their husband or wife.

Now, exactly one year after they got engaged, Stefani has released a sweet video that was taken moments after Shelton popped the question. Posting to her Instagram account, Stefani gave fans a sneak peek into that day, as well as posting another never-before-seen photo that appears to have been taken at the moment of the proposal. Let's take a look.

Stefani's social media presence is strong and it's not uncommon for her to post throwback photos on her feed. Well, yesterday's throwback was an extra special one in which the singer shared a short video that was taken right after she and Shelton got engaged exactly one year earlier. 

In the clip, Stefani was moving the camera around as she waved her hand, showing off her stunning ring. Dancing around behind her was Shelton, leading Stefani to say "Where is he?" before the elated couple stopped in the frame together and she said excitedly "We're engaged!" Shelton then gave his new fiancée a sweet kiss on the cheek, all the while Kool & the Gang's 1980 hit "Celebration" played in the background. Stefani captioned the post:

"one year ago today?! 🙏🏻October 17th 2020 we got engaged! @blakeshelton I love you! gx #how?🤔#backtothefuture #slowdown 🙈"

Accompanying the video was another short clip of Stefani's stunning engagement ring. According to E! News, the ring appeared to be a square diamond approximately 6-8 carats with two smaller diamonds on either side and likely set in either white gold or platinum.

The pop icon also included a candid photo of what looks to be the exact moment that Shelton proposed, with the country star down on one knee as Stefani has her hands over her face in disbelief. 

Both of the musicians looked comfortable and casual on the day of the proposal, with Stefani wearing a white-and-red raglan T-shirt and a green trucker cap, while Shelton also donned a trucker cap and a grey button-up shirt.

Exactly one year ago the couple shared the good news of their engagement on their respective Instagram accounts. Stefani posted about it first by sharing a photo of the two of them kissing in the chapel Shelton built while she held up her hand, flashing the gorgeous ring on her finger. She captioned the photo, "yes please!" 

Shelton posted the same photo on his Instagram with the caption: "Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life... I love you. I heard a YES!"

Ever since meeting on "The Voice" Shelton and Stefani have been inseparable. While both appearing as coaches on the show, the two bonded as they were both going through divorces at the same time — Stefani with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, and Shelton with his ex-wife Miranda Lambert. After a period of friendship, they became romantically involved and have been together ever since.

Speaking about her husband in a recent interview on the podcast, "Tell Me About It," Stefani revealed that what you see on TV is what you get with Shelton:

"He is the same guy that you see no matter who he's with, what he's doing. I look at him sleeping and he's the same guy. He's just a good guy. He's very real and consistent and genuine and that, I think, is what is so attractive and why people love him so much."

Clearly very much in love, we're sure it won't be the last time we'll see either of them doting on one another!
