Gwen Stefani Gives Blake Shelton A Sweet Shout-Out During Fashion Icon Award Speech: ‘I Love You, Blake Shelton, You’re A Babe’

This year’s People’s Choice Awards saw lovebirds Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both take home a trophy.

Stefani bagged herself the fashion icon award while her fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton was honored with the Country Artist award. As the two accepted their awards, they both made sure to give one another a sweet shoutout.

Last night, Gwen Stefani, 50, was honored with the People’s Choice Award for fashion icon. The Hollaback Girl singer was introduced on stage by fashion designer Jeremy Scott as the second celebrity to be honored with the award. 

“Blake Shelton, look. Icon wow, this is hard to digest,” Stefani said as she began her acceptance speech.

The 50-year-old then went on to talk about what fashion means to her. 

“I feel like I just always, always loved fashion it was just one of those very instinctual things partly because of my mom my grandma, my great-grandma, my grandma sewed my mom’s clothes.  My mom would come home from school and my grandma would have made her prom dress.”

She did not, of course, forget to mention her bae Blake Shelton in her speech, saying that he “inspires” her.

“You inspire me all the time I love you, Blake Shelton. You’re a babe.”
