Blake Shelton got his hair shaved into a mullet by Gwen Stefani while he video chats with Jimmy Fallon on Monday about quarantine life in Oklahoma.

On Monday, Jimmy Fallon spoke with Blake Shelton in his home in Oklahoma, where he talked about his animals, and about how he had to cancel his tour in Omaha, Nebraska on the same day they were building the production set for his concert there because of the quarantine regulations.

In the video, he also shares with Jimmy that he hasn't seen his mom and his stepdad since March, "except for waving at them through the truck window".

When asked about what he's been doing with all the downtime, Blake shares that Gwen Stefani, his partner since 2015, has learnt to bake "really good sourdough bread", while he, on the other hand, has been doing gardening and has even been building a fence.

"It's like Little House on the Prairie out here," he enthuses. "We're pretty self-sufficient out here."

In the middle of talking to Jimmy about his particularly busy schedule for the day, Gwen enters the picture with electric clippers in hand saying she's going to be helping Blake grow his mullet out. "Today, we had already scheduled that it was haircut day, so I got my clippers, I got my attachments," Gwen says to Jimmy, just before Blake said that he could continue with the interview while he gets a mullet-do from his (ain't no) Hollaback girl.

"This music that Blake turned me on to, it's called country music," Gwen jokes. She describes her 47-year-old boyfriend as an "encyclopedia jukebox, like a weirdo" of all-things country music. In return, Gwen made Blake a ska playlist and they've been listening to reggae and UB40, even with a group of people while they were all doing some gardening work on their property in Oklahoma.

Blake shared that The Voice has not yet announced how they will proceed with the show after the pre-recorded knockouts round. Normally, the show would roll into the live rounds where viewers begin voting for their favorites. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, a live audience wouldn’t be allowed because of safe social distancing orders.

He suggested that they could possibly finish the show virtually, but almost everything about that is uncertain now.
