Guinea Pig And Dog With Identical Markings Are BFFs, Their Friendship Is Sweet As Sugar

There is nothing more adorable than an animal friendship that goes beyond breed and origin. Have you ever looked at an elephant and dog mingle? Perhaps cats and squirrels taking a walk? No? What about rabbits and llamas? No joke, it’s the most beautiful and innocent kind of friendship you will ever come across.

Let’s take a look at this case with Mr. Jenkins, a three-year-old Boston terrier pup, and Maple, a guinea pig. The two have a special relationship – they are best friends forever.

The animals’ caretaker, Tahnee Reid confesses to never seeing an animal friendship that unique and tight as that of Maple and Mr. Jenkins. While talking to StoryTrender, Tahnee says she can’t believe how two animals who can’t speak to each other (at least not what we know of) can build such a strong and close connection.

Tahnee told StoryTrender that at first, she thought the two wouldn’t match as friends seeing their diverse background and breeds. The two proved her wrong. Maple and Mr. Jenkins may have developed their love after discovering their mutual love of carrots. Their caretaker would have to give each a carrot, and like buddies in a bar, the two animals would sit and eat them together. With time she noticed they became fond of each other’s company.

The two buddies became inseparable. According to Tahnee, Maple follows Mr. Jenkins everywhere like a shadow. Wherever Mr. Jenkins stands, closely standing or seated is Maple. Despite Mr. Jenkins having fewer years to his name, he protects and guides Maple like a parent and ensures that she is safe. He even gives her a groom in the day to ensure that she looks her best.

Their friendship isn’t attached to material stuff and doesn’t care about color, age, origin, destiny, or any other non-essentials. They might be animals, but the two treasure each other more than most humans would. Looking at their photos, it's impossible not to see the love shared between Maple and Mr. Jenkins.
