Kait Olidis sadly lost her Dad to cancer shortly before her wedding day. She was starting to feel daunted by the big day which she would have to do without her Dad by her side. It was at his funeral that her and her Mom were struck by an idea to honor him at her wedding.

Not only did Kait leave a seat empty where her Dad would have sat, but she left a beautiful poem to honor his memory on the seat so that everyone knew why the seat was empty. The poem read as follows:

I'm in heaven for your wedding,

So what shall I do?

I'll come down to earth to spend it with you,

So save me a seat,

Just one empty chair,

You may not see me,

But I will be there

Not only did Kait leave a seat empty for her Dad, but she had saved and dried out all the flowers from her Dad's funeral and used them as confetti for her wedding.

She notes how much her Dad loved flowers, especially roses, so it seemed like the perfect way to ensure her Dad's spirit was with them on her big day.

What's more, a beam of sunlight fell on the pair during the entire ceremony which Kait believes was a sign her Dad was looking down on her from above. Sometimes these moments happen of their own accord and it can feel like there are other forces at work in the world.

We think she honored her Dad in the most beautiful way possible. Watch the video below to determine for yourself:
