Green Bay Packer Player Seen Praying Ardently When Opponent Is Injured In Collision

Despite the players going at it throughout the game, football takes a lower priority when there is an injury involved.
This was proven during last Thursday's battle between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers were losing by a touchdown late in the game at Lambeau Field. With only one minute left to make something happen, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed a pass to tight end Robert Tonyan to nab the first down. As Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox was trying to tackle Tonyan, his teammate Andrew Sendejo tried to help but collided with Maddox instead.

It was clear from the start that this was not your routine injury. A stretcher was brought out and the mood in the stadium instantly changed. While it is not surprising that Maddox's teammates came out to support him, it was a bit of a surprise to see some of the Packers players also so concerned.
The television cameras even captured the image of Packers punter J.K. Scott praying with linebacker Ty Summers. It took some time for the game to resume after the injury. Once the play restarted, Nigel Bradham intercepted an Aaron Rodgers pass in the end zone. This was the icing on the cake for the upset win for the Eagles.
Maddox was transferred to a local hospital and was released in time to fly home with his team. He took to Twitter on Friday morning assuring his fans that he was fine.
